    Welcome to the Medical section- Here we hope to provide you with the information you need for all of your medical/nursing related questions.

    Our nursing team consists of:

    Mrs. Kelly Valentine- RN, MSN, Certified School Nurse MASD: kvalentine@battlinminers.com

    Our goal is to promote the health and well-being of each individual student and family.  We are here to support students with ongoing medical conditions and to provide acute care to new conditions that may arise throughout the school day. 

    We also complete the routine, mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, height/weight, scoliosis, etc.) as directed by the PA School Code.

    Please contact your student's nurse with any questions/concerns. 

    We hope to work together with our students, families, and school communities to assist each student in reaching their full potential physically, academically, and emotionally.

  •  IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

    Students entering grades 7 and 12 will need updated immunizations.  Please click on the above link for full description.  Immuniztations must be received or have a confirmed appointment to receive the required immunizations prior to the start of the upcoming school year.  Exclusion requests need to be filed in writing.  Please contact the school nurse with any questions.

  • Vision Assistance Available 

     

    Through the generosity and compassion of The Schuylkill United Way, in coordination with Eyeland, the See to Succeed Program is being piloted in the Minersville Area School District.

    Students in need of vision services (exam, corrective lenses) who do not have vision insurance are eligible to receive such services at no cost to the student/family.

    Please contact the School Nurse with questions or grant requests.  

    A referral from the nurse is required to participate in this program.
